Worfolk Online launches Frinks UKLeeds, United Kingdom - With Frinks.com already having seen January 2005 as it's most successful month in it's history since going live in July, Worfolk Online has announced it is launching a UK localized version of the web portal. The new website, Frinks.co.uk will use a dynamic mirroring system to allow it to be as up to date as Frinks.com but will offer UK specific content instead of the international and US content offerings that Frinks.com presents to users with. "We have been planning the regional expansion of Frinks for some time," announced founder of the Worfolk Online network Chris Worfolk to news reporters. "Frinks.co.uk will act as a forerunner to test the success of localized versions of the site. The first localized features to be added to the site will be local weather search and news from sister site Worfolk News. Frinks will follow 4xd.net which was the first in the Worfolk Online network to offer localized news when it launched last June. Worfolk Online went live with Frinks 6 in October 2004 and continued to gain popularity as it launched new features and content including an address book and blogging system for users of the site. |
